Now Boarding was tasked with reviewing their current website, and helping to conceptualise and implement a product strategy that would improve trust, engagement and conversion. Our challenge was to modernise AutoTrader’s brand and rework the marketplace to offer a simple, intuitive platform for searching, comparing, researching and buying cars.
An intuitive search is key to AutoTrader’s users. We solved this with smart dropdown features and an easy view of selected filters. This made it seamless to search by make, model and variant. We also added advanced filtering for more savvy buyers, and helpful filters and recommendations for newbies.
During our research, we found that many people have an idea of the body type they want, even if they're unsure about the make and model. So, we enhanced AutoTrader’s filtering function to enable users to easily and intuitively sort by body type.
Our innovative comparison tool streamlines the research process. Users can effortlessly compare multiple vehicles side-by-side, view critical specifications at a glance, and swap between different models with ease.
